The City Administrative Office is located in the center of the Roy City Municipal Building.
It is composed of the following:
- City Manager
- Assistant City Manager / C.E.D
- Executive Assistant / City Recorder
- City Attorney
- Assistant City Attorney / City Prosecutor
The Mayor and City Council Appoint a City Manager to manage the day-to-day affairs of the City's key departments:
- Administration
- Community and Economic Development
- Fire and Rescue
- Information Technology
- Parks and Recreation
- Police
- Public Works
In the absence of the City Manager, the Assistant City Manager serves and functions as the acting City Manager. The
Assistant City Manager is also the department director, and oversees the day-to-day functions of the Community
and Economic Development.
The responsibilities of the Executive Assistant / City Recorder include serving as the Administrative Assistant to the
Mayor, City Manager, Assistant City Manager, City Attorney, and City Prosecutor. They are also responsible for
Agreement and Contract Management, preparing the monthly newsletter, serving as the Elections Official, maintaining
the city website, serving as a Notary Public, preparing all City Council Agendas, Packets, and Minutes, record retention
and GRAMA requests.
Here at Roy City, we welcome citizens to come and review the City Code, Minutes of the City Council Meetings, and to
speak with City Officials about current or upcoming issues. Additionally, citizens are always welcome to attend public meetings.
All agendas for upcoming meetings are posted at the City Offices and on the city website, on the Friday prior to the meeting. In addition,
agendas are posted on the Utah Public Notice Website. Public Hearings are listed in the legal section of the Standard Examiner and a Public Notice is posted at the City Offices.
